I am about to do my first whole hair henna. Yeah!:D today at 2:00pm.

I have mixed up the Henna and if I wait 8hrs it will be ready at 9am but I am not able to Henna until 2pm.

What should I do with it for those 5hrs. Freezer, fridge, not worry? I don't know how long before the dye begins to demise.

Thanks for the help so far, I know I'm a pest;) but I appreciate your patience.

You can toss it in the fridge, it'll be just fine then :)

Some hennas require a dye release period, from an hours to 12 even. I kept mine at 35 degrees Celsius for 2 hours (there's a special setting in the oven for that), I suppose keeping it out there (preferably in a warmer place) for 5 wouldn't get you dye demise.
I got dye demise from overnight on the counter in a cold kitchen stay.

Nope :) Just put a small dot of the henna on the inside of your arm. If it still stains orange after 30 seconds or so, you're good. If not, the dye has just stopped being active.

I didn't test it unfortunately, but I got minimum color change:

Ohhh! Very pretty! Were you hoping for lighter? Because henna does not lighten. Go outside in the sun and it will flame up red. The color and shinyness is really nice.

LOL tell me 'bout that. I got so dark with henna over the last few months I was seriously considering bleaching/sun-in.
Usually I get considerable color change, but that time I got barely. If you look from distance, the half of the picture don't even look like they are taken separately, not something that should happen when there's henna in between.
