Has anybody heard of, or used peach nut oil?

My shampoo apparently contains it. It smells divine, and sounds exotic!

No I haven't!! Have you been able to find it seperately online?

Hmm, I haven't heard of peach, but I've seen this (http://www.akamuti.co.uk/products/new/apricot-kernel-oil-150ml/) on Akamuti. I think it would be similar. Mmm, sounds lovely.

Is it the same as Peach Kernel Oil? I know that has similar properties to almond and apricot oils.

Peach and apricot oils are toxic but for cosmetic purposes and food, the cyanide is removed, http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showpost.php?p=498290&postcount=609

Cyanide and plants, http://www.anu.edu.au/BoZo/CCDN/papers/77_107_114_02.pdf

"Prunus contains many useful plants that also may be poisonous. Peach pits (Prunus persica Batsch.) are rich in cyanide and have been responsible for animal toxicosis. Apricot kernels (Prunus armeniaca L.) have been fatal when consumed by children. Plum pits and bitter almond pits are also cyanogenic. .... seeds of both the common apple and crabapple .... contain HCN. The death of a man, resulting from eating a cup of apple seeds at once, has been reported."
