Posted two easy peasy recepies in my blog, and Aisling gave me a hint that you ladies here might be interested, or that you might even have tried at least one of them.
Here's the one she thought you might find interesting.
Indian schampoo
2 litres of water
5 soapnuts
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon dried lavender
10 drops of rosemary oil
Let the nuts and herbs simmer in the water for 5 minutes. Lid on pot!
Let it reast for 15 minutes, keep the lid on.
Strain
Let the fluid cool and then add the oil.
Anyone who tried it?

I've tried that ratio of water and soapnuts, but it wasn't strong enough to clean my naturally oily hair.

I've never used soapnuts myself, but I think I'll give it a try! Heard about them, but was so unsure about how you were supposed to do with them before.

I have soupnut powder so I'll be experimenting with that. The instructions are very vague--put desired amount of powder in water and wash hair, lol

I've never tried the powder, but apparently you just make a paste, kind of like henna?, and put it on, leave it on a bit, then rinse it out. I think that when using the powder, they recommend oiling before since it can be drying.

Yes the isstructions say when the water and powder are mixed to make a paste massage on and leave 2-5 min than wash out. No mention of oil first but I haven't washed since Fri. and I can oil after.
