Was just thinking about this, has anyone ever tried something an "amla gloss"? Like amla + conditioner(+ maybe some indigo/henna)?
I was just thinking about this because it might be a way of adding more cool tones to hair..Don't know.

Amla doesn't darken my hair in the least. I don't think you would notice a difference unless your hair was blonde, and even some blondes report using amla without darkening.

When my hair was still blond I added alma to cassia, never noticed a darkening or any change in color really.
As far as I know Alma is suppose to make henna and indigo mixes more ash brown instead of warm brown but by itself doesn't really do anything for the color. I have never done any experimenting with it though.

Yeah amla just makes cooler tones to henna it doesnt dye brown or anything. It is just a fruit powder not a dye. Sometimes it leave a slight tinge but its not permanet.

I mix amla in with my henna and it gives a very nice red. Not too orange. It has great conditioning properties and makes my hair shine. :)

I found that amla tends to curdle anything that I mix with it. It always seems so hard to apply it.

Thank you, ladies!! Really? Curdle? ick. I was just trying to think of an idea to add a cooler tone to my already henndigo-ed hair without having to apply more henna or indigo. :magic:
