Hi everyone,
I've been lurking here for a while... and finally decided to register. I'm the woman from H4H who has the black nasty streaks from using henna/Color Oops / Loreal / Cassia..whatever. I think I have finally determined that the streaks were from cassia over the Color Oops/Loreal Color remover. A few days ago I used 100% BAQ henna, and the streaks didn't get any worse; so I took a giant leap of faith, removed the last of the streaks with Loreal, recolored with Henna, and Viola!!!! Nice red hair, minus the streaks! Woo Hoo!

I'm looking forward to exploring this forum.

Welcome to LHC!! Your hair must have had some kind of reaction to the layers of different dyes. What was the time line of this? As in how much time did you wait between doing the colour remover and cassia?

The whole sordid story is over at H4H. Basically, I had used Color Oops to remove old hair dye, then, months later, used cassia/henna, and the entire top layer of my hair turned very black. Assuming I had made a mistake with the cassia/henna mix, I used more Color Oops or remove the black, and redyed it with cassia/henna, and on and on and on; each time convinced I had made a mistake, each time changing the mix a bit to include more cassia, less cassia, more henna, lemon juice, no - how about lime juice, or how about apple juice.... until I just had to STOP, and decided to just grow out the black stuff and start over with virgin hair. Of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone, which led to more henna/cassia, more ColorOops, more Loreal. (Yes, I'm really compulsive and do cazy things when left alone too long LOLOLOL). Anyways, this time (really, THIS TIME) the black is gone, the red is here; no more cassia for this girl. Henna all the way!

Hey, Woven_Darkness, what is your name over on Henna For Hair? I don't see a post on the first page that matches what you're describing and I'm curious to see pics. Thanks!

Congratulations on finding that pure BAQ Henna works! It's great that you can continue to use natural dye. The reds of henna are so lovely, so durable, and so conditioning. If you like red, it's a win-win situation. Welcome!

Welcome to LHC!! :flower: I think most of us, if not all of us, have a "Did I really do THAT?!?!" story that's hair-related. For me, it's the poofy 80's type perm. Thankfully, ALL of the hair that was a part of that disaster has been cut away ages ago! :D

It's great that you're happy with your hair! :)
