I need the name of a oil and or a conditioner to put on my hair prior to braiding
up in the Heidi/Milkmaid style as I will leave it up for 2-3 days.
Thanks

If you don't mind siliconey products I'd recomment "d-fuse menz the enz" by aroma essentials. If you live outside of Australia you'd have to order some online though.
I find coconut oil goes a bit stiff if I leave it on for more than 30ish hours.

ive made a leave in conditioner (I found the recipe here, but I dont remember who the OP was!! If this is your recipe- I LOVE IT!) ETA: This is Fox's Shea Butter Conditioning Cream
1part carrier oil (i used grapeseed)
1 part shea butter
2 parts conditioner.
EO if desired- I used 3 drops of rosemary oil cause i cant stand the smell of the shea butter.
melt the shea and mix together with the other ingredients, and as it cools it will "solidify" a bit, but still be creamy. Keep stirring until blended. then put in the fridge till "solid".
I keep mine on the dresser now, and its just fine.
I use about a finger full to wet hair and go, but it helps just a like an oil.

That's Fox's Shea Butter Conditioning Cream. Credit has to go to Fox, who I don't see around here that much these days.

I use coconut oil, shea butter, and aloe gel when I'm making braids I want to look nice or stay in for a while.
