I finally bought a bottle of Bragg organic ACV for hair rinse. I can't believe the difference! It smells sweet and more apple like than chemical like. My hair is softer and smoother after using the rinse. I've been using Heinz for over a year and always hated the vinegar smell on my hair. Now it smells much better even though it's still vinegar. :)

Just want to brag (ha ha) about this brand a bit. If anybody's not happy with their ACV it's worth a try. Now I just need to figure out what to do with my half a gallon of Heinz ACV.

I've not used bragg's, but I have Spectrum Organics organic ACV with the mother and it smells the same as Bragg's. It's MUCH better to use organic ACV instead of cheap store bought.

I use this brand, too, so another thumbs up for me! It makes a huge difference in contrast to the Heinz.

I love Braggs! I'm also a HUGE fan of Solana Gold (http://www.solanagold.com/applecider.htm).

Admittedly, due to budget constraints, I use ACV from the dollar store for my hair rinses, and save the "good stuff" for drinking (Yeah, I know.), and for making my version of Cyclone Cider.

ETA: Here's that recipie....it makes a spicy, pungent vineager that (we find) boots the immune system and keeps colds etc at bay.

(Everything should be cut into manageable pieces, somewhere between whole and finely chopped.. too small, and straining is a nightmare)
1/4 C fresh ginger
1/4 C onion
4-6 cloves of garlic, pounded, not chopped
2-4 cayenne peppers (BIG pieces, or whole)
1/4 C rosemary
1/8 C sage
1/8 C horseradish
1 lemon
1 orange

Put everything in a large glass jar with a lid (mine holds about 1/2 gallon all told, and has a latch)
Cover with ACV to 2-3X volume (if your "stuff" fills 1/3 of your jar, bring the ACV up to 2/3 or full)
Cover with plastic wrap, close lid, keep in a cool place for 2-4 weeks, shaking daily.)
Strain it to death, and store in sterile bottles (Save your acv bottles for this!)

We take 2 droppers-full every morning, and occasionally use it in salad dressings.
(1 TBSP in a glass of water with a drop or two of honey also makes a nice pick-me-up)

I use Braggs as well. I was concerned at first about the price of buying organic ACV, but it isn't very expensive at all. It cost me like $4 and it has lasted a long time so far. Totally worth it.

I found organic ACV inexpensively in the bulk foods section at the local natural food store. And it really does smell and work better than the Heinz stuff!

Make sure you explain to any housemates that the "nasty floating lump of stuff" is SUPPOSED to be there.... I caught DBF in the act of throwing out my "spoiled" ACV not too long ago.....

Ya I know it's good for your body, too. Unfortunately due to my stomach problem I avoid all acidic food. I don't eat any citrus, can't imagine drinking straight vinegar. :)
