Waist for me is 30" and im 5 foot 7"

30" here (slightly guesstimated, a little tough for me to gauge waist from the back) , and I'm 5'8".

Waist for me is also 30" and I'm 5' 6".

When I was at BSL, I measured that waist was 31" on me (I'm 171cm, or a smidge over 5'7"). Now that I'm at 30", waist doesn't feel like a full inch away, so I think it's more like 30.5".

Waist length is my goal and it's 32", it seems along way away. I'm 5'10" and the extra 2" come from having a long neck, big head and long waist.

28" at the natural waist/skirt waistband.
30" at waistband of trousers.

I'm just under 5ft 1".

I only have a stiff measuring tape rather than a cloth one so this is a bit imprecise, but I'm around 29 inches at the top of my waist, and I'm 5 foot 7 I think.

heck i have a 7" neck thats why BSL is taking so long for me! but 30" seems the avarage , which is strange considering how much different bsl is on people!!

Don't feel bad, Jessie... I'm only 5'4" as well. I measured my hair at 29" this morning, and it looks like be one, maybe two inches above my natural waist. I'm estimating that waist-length for me is between 30" and 31".

My waist is around 41" at 6'6". If I were shorter I would be at waist already :( Instead it seems I'll have around another year to wait. But, I could just walk with my head tilted back :)

"Waist" on me was about 33 inches. I am over 176 cm, with a big melon head, long elbows, but high-waisted at about 30 inches.

Going by the look of proportions, it didn't look "right" at 30 inches, so I never really considered it true waist length, the ratio was just so "off" in my eyes. Other people didn't even consider it waist either when I asked. It finally looked better at about 33 inches so that is what I ended up calling waist, even though it was technically on my hip area.

As I understand it, waist is supposed to be the narrowest part of the torso. Above the love handles, below the ribcage.

Wow, seems like most people are around 30". Me too! I'm 5'8", and my hair is probably like 1/4th an inch away from being official waist length, though I say it's WL already cuz it probably will be in a few weeks. Now I need to figure out how long until hip length! :cheese:

5'4" just barely and waist will be 29 inches. I'm right in the middle of petite and regular clothes - most petite pants are just a smidge too short and regular pants I can cut yards of fabric off! Plus with pants at every level these days - what is really waist length? I'm using my dress trousers with a standard waist as a guide. Same for bsl - we all wear bras differently.

I measure waist as 31 inches, and I'm 5'3". To me, waist is the narrowest part of my torso, not necessarily where my pants start.

Measure from the front of your hairline, over your head, and down the back. I can't do it myself. :shrug: I have my boyfriend measure, but he doesn't do unreached lengths :( (ETA: I did figure out bra-strap length on myself though...about 25 inches estimated)

I'm 5'4" and waist for me is about 30" too!

My hair has about another half inch to go until waist but I think of my length as "mid-back" - when I think of "waist-length hair", I think of long hair, and my hair doesn't seem long to me at all. It seems very ordinary! I guess my "waist" mental image is approaching hip in reality. I think I'll be happier to think of my hair as vaguely long-ish when it hits that mark. Which is a long way to go yet.... might be there this time next year!

Waist on me seems to be 30" if I stand straight and look directly ahead (I need 2 inches more of unstretched hair to get there) I'm 5'3.

I'm quite surprised that I am the same as taller people, since I'm rather shortwaisted - the straps of tops are often too long, and fall down over my shoulders, and there's only a couple of inches between the bottom of my bra-band and my waist. Maybe my neck's not as short as I thought?
