On the pre-crash forum I posted a poll about how many inches equalled armpit length for members (I would update it with my own vote for 23 inches - rounding up from 22.5)

Here, please use the measurement of whatever you considered "BSL" even if you are a guy.

Round up at .5 or higher. I know measurements will vary based on body proportions.

BSL is around 27 inches on me. I chopped off half of my hair the last time I got there though. Maybe another year or so and I'll be back :)

24-25, I measured a few times & kept getting either. I voted 25.

Measuring I kept getting between 23-24", so...24". I think that's what I've come up with in the past, too (23-24"). ETA: Oh, and that's bottom of strap, too. Top is more like 22".

My answer... 26", even though I'm 5'6".That's the lenght when I was pretty centain that I'd reached BSL. :D

BSL on me is actually about 22 inches but I voted up to 23, I'm about 5'2" so I've got a lot of milestones in not a lot of inches :blushing:

I'm not there yet but it 24" for me and bottom of bra-strap/mid back is 26"

At 25" my ends are past the band of my widest bra. I'm 5'5".

All my bras have tiny bands and sit high up under my shoulder blades since I don't have anything to support.. so I just think of it as 'shoulder-blade length'.

I hit it at 27 inches...again.

I keep growing it to my waist, then cutting it back to BSL to get rid of the dyed and damaged part. A few more times, and I'll be back to virgin hair!

About 23-24" for me. I am only 5'2" tall. One advantage of being short?:p:shrug:

On my highest bra, it's 26.5, and on the rest it's about 1/2 inch lower, so 27". I'm 5'6, so I've no excuse.

My hair fully covered my bra strap at just slightly over 25 inches, so I voted 25.

23 at the bottom strap for me. (Rounded down but I measured over my bun so it's probably accurate.) If I went with the top of the strap it would be 21- why yes, I do need massive bust support! I'm also 5'3 and quite short waisted.

It has to be 26" for me.. (I'm 5'6")

Have not reached it yet, but I will at 25".

24". I'm short. Waist was 30". Classic will be 42". Knee length will be 52" and only 16" off the floor. Happens when your 5'2"

I think it was around 27 so that is what I voted. I was surprised to see that so far that is the most common! I thought I was weird! Don't answer that! :)

I am 5'8" and long torso-ed too. I am 29 inches now and still have 3 more inches until waist at least probably more like 4.

For my own sanity I told myself 25 even though now that I'm at 26 that is truly BSL on me. So I figured 32ish should be waistish. I need to get a better measuring tape!!!

I had previously thought my bra strap length was a fair bit shorter than that, but I had been wearing a band size too big, so it always rode up. Now I've found managed to find bras in my band size... I would've shaved my head for a correctly fitted bra! Lucky I didn't have to though :P

Bsl is 26 inches on me and I'm 5'6". I can't wait to get there. I have a looonnngg way to go though.

I'm not there yet but my strap should be covered by 25". I am rounding my height up to 5'5 :cool:. Of course, height is not a direct correlation because different people have different length legs and torsos.

ETA: Thanks to everyone for giving me the motivation to measure, albeit 4 days later. My first poll on LHC is a success :heaven:! I should be at the milestone BSL this summer :hooray:!

I think mine is about 24/25. I can't remember for sure.

I put 30" because that's how long my dry hair has to be to look like it's at BSL. If I measure a straight line with the tape it's 26" but although stretched my hair was just barely BSL at that length it looked about APL. The fun of having waves and a major taper. I'm 5'8" tall and short-waisted.

really? i measured 23" in that picture but alas cut an inch probably inch and a half eeek! off! i was 22" beginning of this month, im just wierd! my waist is only 3" off the bottom of my strap, will get my daughter to re-check it!

this is what im wondering too, the bottom of my bra sits a good 2-3" below my shoulder blades, which in that case puts me at 24-25" for bsl, which is just 2-3" off, Lora is right!!!:cheese:would be the same for you 24-25" yay! :cheese::cheese:(us doing the cheese dance!)

My BSL is 24". My hair is now 25.5" 29" is waistline for me! I am only 5'2".

5'7" tall here.. BSL is at 27" for me :)
