I braided my top hair into two smaller braids that parts in middle, and they go into the big braid. Makes the braid not look to boring.

I also preoiled my hair before wash yesterday, so of course it has the "wet look" this week (can't get oil out if I do heavy oil treatments).

Down and wet at the moment. Will attempt a nautilus bun later, thanks to the helpful video posted by Hypnotica.

Like this! I rolled my hair up and put a ficcare through. Never done this before, I think it looks really good, actually.

I had advance warning from the boss that we were going to be doing dirty, grimy, sweaty work today and wanted my hair out of the way and secure without any fancy sticks.

I made 2 french braids, one on each side of my head, and tried to keep them up high and not let them go down to my nape when I reached the back of my head. Then I took the tails and wrapped them around my head, so they crossed over in back and then again in front (there's only about a 3 inch section in front where they cross). I clipped the braids up with very tiny jaw clips, about 1/4 in wide. It looks pretty good, kind of like a false crown braid, and is very secure.

Now I need to take a shower and rinse my hair, 'cause we really did get grimy and sweaty today.

Today I wore my hair down. I accidentally got my hair soaked in the bath this morning and wanted it to dry.

Heidi braids. Such a cute and weightless style. I should have oiled before though, as my ends are poking out of the braids, making it look more like a crown of thorns ;)

Alternated between bunned and down as I did a cholesterol treatment today. gonna do sleep braids in a min.

Single french braid, rode the motorcycle to work today and there's a limited number of styles that will fit under a helmet! I did clip it up with a small Ficcare when I got inside though (non-airconditioned school closed up for the summer, stuffy!)

I took the time to do a French braid today and I was SO glad I did. I had forgotten how carefree and comfy this style is!

All down (gasp!) I am at work too. I had really pretty braid waves that I have never had before from braiding the french braid damp. It is like my normal curls only stretched out a bit and softer. :D

In a modified french twist. my hair is too long for a standard one and too short for a log roll so I may have invented a new do.
Started with a bee butt bun. Turned that into a gibralter bun. Took the 'slide' of that and pulled it up to make a figure 8. Twisted that as one would for a french twist and pinned it in place. VOILA! I call it prom day hair as one could use the bee butt bun the morning of prom whilst going about their morning routine. Then switch to gibraltar for work or preparing their prom wardrobe. Then loose figure 8 for dinner and gossip with the girls. And finally a french twist for the big night.

Yesterday I washed, then did pigtails and rope braided them, then rope braided the rope braids into a single one. It stayed really well when I slept on it, I went to work with it, and I'll probably take them out tomorrow for some waves.

My mom keeps telling me I look Amish with my hair like this lol. No idea where she got that.

Ive had it down most of the day but now its drying in an english braid, after an overnight avocado oil soak!

I "attempted" a double-braid-bun I saw online. It wasn't very good, but I was running out of time, so it stayed that way for work.

I'm wearing a braided log roll which I'm trying after reading about the braided variation the other day. I think this is my new favourite yoga style. Up and nicely balanced for the active poses and then constrained in the brie backfor all the restorative poses at the end!

Just down and straight. The boss's six year old daughter likes to come in and "pet" it. It makes me smile :)

Before that I clarified, oiled, damp bunned and then took it down. I am consistently amazed at how effective damp bunning is in smoothing my hair.
I also realized that I need to clarify weekly from now on with sulfates. My hair needs sulfates!

It started out as a ponytail on top of my head wiith the ends looped under, but has sadly migrated down to the nape of my neck or thereabouts!:rolleyes:

Today I managed to do a rope bun which was my first one ever. It held all day with two long hair sticks. Being hair stick challenged, I'm sooo happy that I learned a new updo style with sticks.

Loose today, but for the last 3 days I've been working 14-hour days in a hot, humid arena so my hair was up in a bun or braid for those days. It would have been too unmanageable otherwise, and I would have gotten sweat all in it which wouldn't have been nice either.

I'm wearing mine in a bittle bun (or hopefully something that might pass as a bun!) with a band around it that has a purple jewelled flower on it.

Down with a purple kerchief to hold it back (and to hide the greasies). First time my hair's been down in a while, it's so nice to feel it tickle the back of my arms/elbows....

Today it is in a half-up style, being held with one of those sliding metal barrettes. Sorry, hard to describe, but the style is practical and keeps my hair out of my eyes while I'm typing.

10sec quick bun with a broken hairstick that's only just long enough to hold all my hair. I washed it this morning and it went through a variety of half-ups to get it to dry quickly before I went skating so that I could braid it, but it's too hot to have it round my neck now.

It's wet, so just down. I don't like it this way.

I'm wearing a banded ponytail right now. Damp hair fresh out of the shower with a little conditioner left in. I'm hoping it treats my hair nice today while I'm out in the warm weather. I couldn't do much in the way of a bun today since I'll also be wearing a brimmed hat and if I'm bunned it won't always fit snug nor comfortable.

Well, I'm going to a wedding today, so I'm planning on wearing it in a braided chinese bun, maybe with some accent braids or something.

I had thought about wearing it down, but first of all it's a hot summer day, and secondly, I always feel kinda weird wearing my hair down at a wedding... I feel like I'm stealing some of the attention from the bride.

As I almost always do... a single braid :p My sister is wearing a figure 8 bun held up with a stick! I did it for her and she looks very good with it! Now why can't I do it on me?! :rolleyes:

First it was down, in bed, then it was in my lazy bun until I got on the airplane, then it was ponytailed with a slide, once we were back on the ground, I lazy bunned it again...then down briefly before a complete preening, now it is slide ponytailed again...and I'll probably bun it shortly.

(Buns don't really work for me as I'm always on the move from one place to another by bike and no bun fits under that helmet. )

It's pretty humid here today, so my hair is crazy. My baby hairs are curling all around my hairline (around my face, back of my neck), so I have my tresses up in a bun at my nape held with a metal fork, and a headband to keep the wildness out of my eyes.

Oiled and in a cinnabun for much of the day. I've just let it down since I was getting "hairstick headache," and the oil/bun combo has really made the ends super curly-wurly. I'm kind of digging it!
