View Full Version : Can't believe Color Oops worked!

I couldn't find the thread about Color Oops and henna removal, but I tried it tonight and I almost had a panic attack in the shower when I started washing it out! Holy crap it actually worked!

I only had a few glosses and maybe 3 full head applications, and a few root touch ups. I swear my hair is back to the same it was after the first full henna... or maybe lighter - just a light coppery-orange-peachy colour! And I only left it on 45 min. In the other thread (on here somewhere) they recommend 3 hours! I was too chicken to leave it that long as I was afraid my hair might melt or something. Plus the smell was making me feel sick. I literally put it on around 5:45PM and watched Big Bang Theory until 6:30PM, then rinsed.

I wish I could get a good picture, maybe I will try outdoors tomorrow. All I have is my iPhone and it cannot do an accurate picture. I tried and it just didn't look right.

I am SHOCKED! Now that I know it won't fry my hair, I will try a second one on the weekend and leave it longer I think. But OMG I am just...wow...it's removed so much henna! I'm just... it's crazy!

Ok, here are some pics from my photobucket:

This is my natural colour:

This was the colour after my first gloss:

This was after my first full henna:

Here is the last time I did henna for a wedding in October:

I think the colour I got after the colour oops is in between the first gloss and the first full henna.

Ok, here are two pics I just snapped:

And for comparison, this is what it was in the summer the day after I did a full henna:

Your natural color is so pretty; I'm glad you're going back in that direction.

Thank you both!

The pictures from my iPhone don't do it justice still. It's much more peachy in person. I did oil it a little this morning as it was a little dry from the washing yesterday (I CO usually). The oil is making it look darker than it really is.

Gah...my hair looks so thin in those photos. I wish I didn't have such thin hair.... As you can see, I don't have a lot of follicles and my hair is very translucent. It's also bright white for a lot of the strands. I think that's why henna didn't get as dark as I wanted. I don't regret it though, it was fun!

Great results! I was the one that used colour B4 for 3 hours, no damage whatsoever but well done you for getting great results first go!

Yes, it was your thread. I've searched all over and I can't find it. Maybe it got lost in the forum issues?

Because I'm blonde I accept that I won't get it 100% out, but even to lighten it to make growing it out less painful, I will take that.
