I bought 100gr of Jamila henna from eBay, but I weighted it and it was only about 70gr (including packaging) and 50gr of real henna.
Then I found on the packaging it says :
Net weight
100gr
(when packed)

I really loved the henna, but now I'm confused. If I'm buying 100gr I want to get 100gr.
I contacted the seller and she told me Jamila only comes in this size.
Is it true?

awww, that sucks. I've never used Jamila, but from what I'm aware, it's only one size packet. I recently henna'ed my hair for the first time, and was trying to decide between Jamila and yemeni henna (which I could buy in bulk)...I guess a good thing I went for the Yemeni, as I bought 500g and it was 500g. I don't understand not stating on the package that the actual henna content is Xg instead of including the packaging - I mean, the packaging is kinda useless in the end, right? lol

oh, then I should assume every 100gr packet I see online is actually only 50gr. That's good to know.
Thanks :)

I bought it from princenaz77 (http://myworld.ebay.com/princenaz77?_trksid=p2047675.l2559), I complained and got a 50% refund.

wow, that was really fair of the seller! :) Especially considering it's ultimately not his/her fault...sellers like that are awesome :)

What? Only 50 gr in the package? Even with extreme drying out of the contents of the package 50% less is not acceptable. 100 grams are the usual content of the Jamila boxes. Do you have an exact scale? Some scales can be very much off when the batteries get old. And other scales too.

100 gr is 6.48 g. If it's labeled "100 gr" it should also give the mass in grams; the grain is obsolete. I've heard there are some 65 mg pills because of inertia. I suggest you contact Jamila. Catherine has sold 50 g packets in pairs, but IIRR the last time I bought henna from her and it was Jamila, it was in 100 g packets.

the scale works fine, maybe I just got a fake one.. but I doubt it because the henna was pretty good quality.

the packaging says 100gms which I guess means 100grams. The ebay add also was for 100grams.
I won't contact Jamila because I already got a 50% refund. I'm satisfied.
I just wanted to know if this was the norm, for future purchases.
