Seeing as how I've been doing this for about a month already, I figure I may as well join this challenge. I've been in braids since early last month and hope to make it until the middle of next month, which will be about 10 weeks.

decided to something a bit more exciting than my usual bun today (I don't know what day im on...I'm useless! I think I startedmy second round of this on march 25th, so, like day 20??)
- I used to wear french or dutch braids all the time, but kinda got out the habit when My hair got long enough to bun and I had to start putting it up for work..
anyway... today French braided to 2 braids round my head and then the braids folded up and pinned at the back of my head

Well, my hair dried and there was a wonderful breeze blowing and it was the warmest yet this year and . . . I left it down. In the breeze. I loved it. It felt so free and lovely. I know, it's probably pretty tangled, but I don't really care right now. I will wear it up tomorrow, though . . .

Day 23: I have it in the SAME tiara braid from yesterday. I put a satin nightcap on and it didn't look any diffrent, I just had to push the pins back in. I'll have to take it down before bed, then it will go right back up! XP

It's been almost two years for my updo challenge. Wearing my hair up has certainly helped me attain length.

My favorite style for my not so thick waist length layers is to use a fabulous Nordstrom jaw clip. I treasure this expensive (I think I paid $25) but beautiful hair toy which is about 4 inches long. I form a high ponytail then double it so that when the clip is in place the loop of the double ponytail sticks up about 2-3 inches above the back of my head. I take the the remaining tail and wrap it around the elastic, twist the ponytail, then fasten the jaw clip above the elastic, catching a little of it so it won't unravel. It looks like a modified French twist. The jaw clip from Nordstrom's is composed of various mother of pearl shades and goes with everything that I wear. I think I will look for a replacement at Nordstrom's for the day that I break or lose this little treasure!

Yesterday was Day 140. Cinnamon bun with chopsticks made of bamboo.
Today is Day 141. I don't know what kind of bun it is, it's kind of knotted and held with the same bamboo chopsticks I wore yesterday. 224 days left!

Wow, I'm way behind on updating.

Day 18: figure 8
Day 19: cinnabun
Day 20-24: because I was ill, didn't leave home and really didn't have energy for doing anything the hair was in a standard english braid/sloppy bun
Day 25: bunned braid

And yes, I lack imagination.. I think I must try the sock-bun soon! Only five days more and I've been on this challange for a month, what happended with the time??

I'm going to join the wear hair up challenge. I'm trying to reduce my split ends, so hopefully wearing my hair up along with daily search and destroys will help. I'm going to try this for a month and see how it goes. I had been wearing my hair up with this challenge in mind, but this morning I was tempted to keep my hair down, so I figured that I ought to formally join the challenge to remove the temptation.

I'm going to wear my hair up for a month, which puts the ending date the day after the last day of my final exams. I should be able to remember that date. :) I'll probably let my hair down while it's drying, but other than that and S&D, I'll keep it up. My only rule is that I can't use scrunchie buns anymore except when sleeping - they fall out during the day, leading me to play with my hair a bit more than I like to. Besides, I almost always have my hair in a scrunchie bun, and that's getting really boring. I've been having fun trying out new hair styles the past couple of days - I used to do that a lot before going to college, but I fell out of the habit during the past couple of years.

day 14 of 30: In a plain cinnabun with hair pins. My hair is parted on the side and I twisted the front on either side of the part and pinned back with bobby pins so that my front is not so flat and boring.

I got my scarves in the mail today, so I'm starting my challenge!

Day 1 of 14: Tied up in my new red hairscarf, which makes me look unfortunately piratical, but is keeping it tucked away nicely. It's come out a couple of times, since this is my first time using a scarf, but it's a good learning experience.

Edit: I've been playing around with it, attempting to use some hairpins to keep it up, but after that failed I went for the version of the infinity bun that Lady Godiva posted in the articles section, and since it feels a lot more stable than the version I usually do, I'll hopefully be able to keep it this way for the rest of the evening. Otherwise it'll be a "play with new styles"day, but they should all meet my "updo" rule.

Day 99: It's still down and drying after washing like four times after my SMT disaster + oversleeping. I'll put it up when I get to work I promise. Something with my ficcare probably.

ETA: Wound up with a braided bun held with two of my new, very short, white, bone sticks. Think I'm going to top them. They're maybe four inches.

Day 2 of 14: Started out in LadyGodiva's infinity bun; when that came out, I put it in a rope-braid bun with the same black chopstick. It's now up under my new black and blue and shiny silver streaks scarf, staying in the rope-braid bun pretty well without anything to hold it other than the end being tucked into the coils.

I seem to look slightly less like a pirate when the scarf I'm wearing is not red. :pirate:

So do I. We're not allowed to use the other word (the one that is the last syllable of the other name for that bun) at our house.:)

I figured out that I'm more than half-way through my six months! 86 days to go! I'm going to count down from now on. Although, since the weather is warming up and there's a breeze almost every day, I'm feeling the urge to wear it down more and more.

Day 19: According to the rules of my challenge, I wore my hair down today.

I'm supposed to be able to do this on Fridays and one weekend day. I'm starting to notice a lot more how my hair gets in the way and tries to catch on things. I guess I'm just more used to having out of the way.

Day24&25: After day 23 I did take it down, but sorta fell asleep! Anyhow it is in a tiara braid again, yet again, I haven't taken it down since yesterday morning, it's comeing down again, I'd say 3days is pushing it abit.

I washed my hair this morning, so I left it down for a couple of hours to dry. Today was hot and dry, so my hair dried in 2.5 hours! It hasn't dried that quickly since last summer! Once my hair was mostly dry, I put it in an infinity bun, kind of. I need to look at the instructions again and play with it some more to make it come out properly. Today was my first time wearing a hair stick (again, kind of, since it was a chopstick that I cut down to about 6 inches in length). I'm amazed at how well one stick held my hair! I was quite active today and my hair stayed in the infinity bun without any problems.

Yesterday was my 100th day and I totally forgot about it. Hahaha.

Day 100: Cinnamon bun with twisted horn sticks.

And today is
Day 101: Still in a sleep braid. Will either go in another cinnabun or I'll try to make a KarenLynn Knot or... something?

ETA: It wound up in yet another cinnamon bun. This time held with a cheap, curved, black plastic fork I had to file like crazy and paint with nailpolish to make smooth. Love the fork, though it's not the most versatile or sturdy thing.

AlleyKitten
April 19th, 2008, 11:44 PM
Day 3 of 14: It went up in a rope-braid bun with the black chopstick I've stolen from the kitchen at first, and then when I changed out of my pajamas I put it under the scarf. I've been sort of improvising a rope-braid bun under it (no elastic at the end, just something that will hang together to keep it out of the way while I'm putting the scarf up) which has been working well.

I'm being pretty boring for this challenge, but at least it's up!

4/19 was day 143: Pigtail braids and the do-rag again (taught BodyJam, it's the most comfy style for teaching that class). Then up into a Cinnamon Bun with hairsticks for the evening.

4/20 was day 144: Single braid with the do-rag (BodyJam again) then up into a cinnamon bun after I washed it and back into a braid for sleeping.

Today is Day 145. Right this minute it's in a sloppy twist with a hair stick - I'm on the way to deep condition it this morning and then it's up into a bun for the duration of the day.

Day 5 of 14: I oiled this morning, so I figured a rope-braid bun would keep the oil off my hairtoys and my scalp hair the best. After I tucked the end into the coils, it seemed plenty solid, but I stuck the chopstick (I am so boring when it comes to hairsticks, it's either the chopsticks or a pencil) in there more or less at random, in hopes it would keep the end from coming loose. So far it's working pretty well. I plan to wash my hair later today, so it'll be down while it's drying.

Day 7 of 14: Rope-braid bun with a number two pencil in it (like my avatar) because I couldn't find my chopstick this morning :p. The bun generally stays pretty well with just the end tucked in, but I feel like I ought to stick something in there. There's usually a weird little tail sticking out at a funny angle with this bun, but today it wound up sticking straight down out of the bottom, and it looked almost intentional, and kind of nice. Too bad I probably won't be able to do it again on purpose...

It's been a week! I think after the two weeks are up, I may go for a month, with the provision that I can leave it down once every week or two to placate my boyfriend, who really likes it down (ok, ok, so I like it too! It's been so shiny and soft since my last CO wash, and it seems like a shame to put it up where I can't play with it!).

Day 8 of 14: I started out with it under a scarf, but it absolutely refused to stay on. So I tried a couple of things, and wound up with my hair in a ponytail, english braided with the scarf as one of the sections and the scarf tying it off at the end, and then the whole braid tied in a knot with a pencil stuck through it (this seems more stable than trying to do a bun with the braid).

I have found my chopstick, though, so hopefully I can stop using these pencils in my hair!

Wow islandgrrl 148 days! Whats your goal? I can't wait to get my sticks I'm a bit bored with my plain cinnabun held with hairpins.

Day 21 of 30: I put the top 1/2 in a cinnabun and twisted and wrapped the bottom 1/2 around that all held with hairpins. It fell out a few hours ago so now I have it up in messy french twist held with a plastic clip.

(KaeleyAnne, the ends of my braids in a Chinese bun also stay very secure tucked underneath the bun, without needing pins. I wonder if it's to do with hair type/thickness?)

Today is Day 149. I have 34 days left to the halfway mark, and 216 days left in my one year challenge.

My hair is in a cinnabun right now, secured badly with my fakkare. It's coming down to go into pigtail braids for teaching in a couple of hours.

(KaeleyAnne, the ends of my braids in a Chinese bun also stay very secure tucked underneath the bun, without needing pins. I wonder if it's to do with hair type/thickness?)

Probably. My hair tends to grab onto itself and stay in place quite well. Though it didn't stay in place today.

Day 9: I redid the braids that were left in my hair from the Chinese bun, wrapped one braid in a bun around the base of the other (centering the bun in the middle of the back of my head) and then wrapped the second braid around the first, making the bun wider. Then I stuck bobby pins in my hair to hold everything together. Therein lies the mistake - since I used my regular-sized bobby pins instead of my large bobby pins, I didn't actually secure the inside bun. So the first braid suddenly popped out of the bun during class this afternoon (though it had managed to hold without problems for 4 hours). Anyhow, I redid the buns and they stayed in until I washed my hair this evening.

Day 22 of 30: I had to rush out this morning so i put it in a low pony and left it looped 1/2 way through. When I came home I had a package :) with hair sticks.
I tried them out :D and now I have it clipped up in a twist with a plastic clip because I am debating whether or not to take a bath:shrug:

I am planning on doing another 30 days when this is over but I want to be more strict. I have been lazy about putting in right back up when it falls down. I think my new rules will be :1) braided or bunned every night no matter what, 2)If it falls down during the day I must put it directly back up, 3)take a picture for my album everyday, 4)I can only have it down to air dry and to detangle in the AM and before bed.

Ponytail

And that's a month! :D I found this challenge being more difficult than I first thought. When I set off I wished to make a lot of new and fancy up-dos, but I just couldn't take the extra time in the morning for it. But I tried some new at least and apart from a few days, I stuck to the challenge, even if it meant a pony or easy-hair-stick-style. I'm going to wear it up more than before, it's nice to have it out of the way.

But for tomorrow, it will be WO, scrunched into waves and left down all day! :)

Good Luck to you all in your own challenges!

Day 12 of 14: I washed my hair this morning, and after a couple of futile attempts to get it to stay up in an infinity bun while wet, I left it down to dry some. Now, it's in a half up in a neat bun cover with tiny claw clips, in hopes that this will help the bottom half dry faster. It'll have to come all down at some point, to get dry enough to comb out.

Day 12: I apparently was in an experimental mood today - I started with an infinity bun, figured out how to do it so that it looked like an infinity symbol, but couldn't get it arranged so that the loops were of equal size. I gave up and put my hair in a cinnamon bun, held just by a hair stick. When I was reading LHC while waiting for dinner to cook, I found instructions for the orchid bun and tried that. My hair has been in an orchid bun since then, but I'm going to go wash it now.

I almost fell off the wagon... I did an S&D mission about two weeks ago, because of tangling issues. It got better, but not completely. And this weekend I happened to check my ends in sunlight - oh dear... :blueeek: White dots, broken bends and rough spots with damaged cuticles apparently don't show up in lamp light or in front of my computer. So, last Sunday (day 51) my hair was "up" and covered with cassia and plastic wrap for a couple of hours to strengthen it. Then it was down to dry - so far in line with my rules.

But the next day it was down most of the day, easiest style because I wanted to S&D when the sun peeked through the clouds. I did put it in a braid for a while, though. And today I did the same thing again... Left it down for most of the day, more S&D, and just put it up in a soft nautilus bun for a short time when I went outdoors... DID it feel like cheating... Especially after I considered the S&D-ing finished for this time and still left my hair down just because it was so soft and silky :o Freshly treated with cassia and thoroughly S&D-ed - I love* my hair at the moment :inlove:

Oh well, I haven't had any days off before, so I'll let it go for now and continue counting. And I promise to wear it up tomorrow. :cheese:

I think I am going to have to join in this challenge. I think my hair will grow better if I quit heat styling it, picking at it, and letting it get tangled. The bad thing is the cinnamon bun is my mainstay, and not the most flattering on my face. Looks like I am going to have to do more reading here and practicing.

Day 13 or 14: Messy (sleep) rope braid bun with a chopstick. Check this space for updates for when I get the energy to fix it. Maybe I'll do something cool like a Chinese bun!

Edit: As threatened, it's now up in a Chinese bun. It was easier than I thought, but I don't have the trick of it and it's not very sturdy. I have trouble getting the ends to stay tucked in... I may wind up playing around with some new updos today.

Edit again: My Chinese bun fu is not strong, and after a couple of tries I just stuck it in the old standby infinity bun, which has held solid all day. I guess this is not the day for experimentation, I just don't care enough to fiddle with it til I get it right.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been a whopping 5 days since I last posted. So here's the recap:

Saturday the 26th was Day 150. Wow...five months with my hair up. And it was in pigtail braids (f that's what you really call them) and the do rag so I could teach BodyJam. After that it was thoroughly COd and damp bunned for the remainder of the day.

Ditto for Sunday the 27th, Day 151.

Monday was Day 152 and a cinnamon bun secured with the buff I just received as a swap from Suldrun. I've been having much, much fun with it and it holds my hair quite nicely as a bun wrapper.

Yesterday was 153, and started the same was as Monday, but ended up with a single braid down my back, and the buff as a headband/sweatband while I taught a spin class. Then as a whole head covering later (same braid) under my bike helmet for a outdoor ride. COd again after all that and damp bunned, secured with stix.

Today is 154 and my hair is lightly jojoba oiled throughout with a little heavier on the ends and bunned, secured with stix and covered with buff (which I cannot imagine ever having lived without at this point....darned thing is HANDY).

I'm 16 days away from measuring.

Day 31: I'm going to copy part of my post in the "Hair Idiots Club" thread...

Today, I did a turd bun. It was supposed to be a cinnabun, but that's not exactly how it worked out.

Despite that, it was actually an accomplishment of sorts. I normally pull my hair back into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic before making any bun, because otherwise it usually falls down entirely within minutes. Today, I managed a bun with only hairsticks and no elastic... and it stayed up for most of the day (about an hour ago, the ends started unraveling but it's still "up").

Oops. Almost forgot to post.

I woke up late and didn't grab my jar of pre-mixed AGO before running into the bathroom to wet and smooth it a bit. So I wound up using some Jason's kelp'n'stuff (can't remember which one) conditioner in lieu of my AGO... Did not work.

Soooo Day 113 is a frizzy, messy, tangly (didn't have time to detangle either) cinnabun held with a speharb fork.

Was gonna do something more interesting as I woke up a few hours early and found that my new Nightshade sticks got here, but waking up late = grungy tshirt and jeans with messy hair. Brought the new sticks to work with me so I could show 'em off though. :)

Single braid secured with the buff (which covers most of it up along the length, oh well) because I forgot to bring a hair-safe elastic with me this morning and have NO other hair toys at my disposal (uh...forgot those too in my rush to get out the door this morning). #162--Ponytail so far will be braiding it in a few minutes...I changed my mind and decided to try the orchid bun (http://archive.longhaircommunity.com/showpost.php?p=685102&postcount=1)!

I thought it looked kind of complicated, but it was very simple to do...And wouldn't you know it; I left my camera at home, so did BFF/coworker/SIL!!! AAAAHGHG!

*she* said it looks really cool, and it feels really secure! :D

Day 156: Up in a horrible looking messy bun secured with the buff. My hair looks like cr@p today and perfectly matches my mood.

 My daughter's MD was supposed to send a letter to our health insurance company SIX weeks ago documenting her disability so her coverage wouldn't be discontinued. They have all the documentation they need and I've been following up with them once a week to make sure it's getting done. I got a call from them this morning saying it hadn't been done yet and they're sorry, but they missed the FREAKING DEADLINE (which was yesterday). Missed deadline = cancelled medical insurance.

Of all the days to be a redhead. My hair's on fire right now. :demon:

I hope I can fix this.

Day 16: A somewhat messy Chinese bun. My hair was still damp this morning from washing it last night, and the Chinese bun was the only bun that actually stayed in my hair (the third type of bun that I tried, though it was the first time that I tried a non-braided Chinese bun).

Islandgrrl I am so sorry to hear about that MD it sounds like you may be able to take some type of legal action. I lost my insurance but I was lucky enough to find out that in my state there is a state funded insurance as long as I had a rejection letter from even one insurance company I was elligable. I have been self- employed most of my adult life so I am used to paying my own and the cost was comperable to what I had before. Errr I have had it up to here with MD's over the past few years so I totally empathize with you. I hope it turns out Ok in the end:grouphug:

Iggy: Yeesh. Sorry to hear about the insurance and MD woes. :( Reminds me I have a letter to write to my insurance company though. They decided that having five year old metal removed from my ankle was a preexisting condition despite it not being treated or advised for at least four years prior to me starting with the new insurance company. Their policy is six months prior to (and has to be treated or advised to be treated by a medical professional) the start of service. Boo.

Day #163: I did a hair crack treatment last night, and just left it in all last night. I've found that the longer I leave it in; the better the results...I put it in at 9PM, I did grunge work all day today, and just washed it around 5:30PM. I had it in an English braid to sleep in and I put it in a rope braided ponytail (w/a hat on) to do my grunge work...It's drying now in a turbie! :D

I am really liking this Buff my head does not itch or feel hot. I usually get bothered with bandanas and stuff on my head but I have had this on all day and it is still comfortable:)

Day 116: Cinnabun with speharb fork.

Not long left to my challenge now. Think I'm gonna go for "hair up at work" for 1.5 years total. Have to reevaluate the challenge when the boy comes home. And I work four days a week. So I figure 1.5 years will be a full year of hair up. Roughly. If someone wants to do the real math and tell me how long I'd have to go to make a full year, I'd appreciate it. (Started January 7th, ending the every single day portion in 3-4 weeks, so ~June 1st, and haven't had a single down day yet). But I figure at work and when sleeping will be good for me.

I'm going to go TRY to get my hair into my "hair slide" from the Ren Faire, because that's where I am going today. Wish me luck.

Day 55: Braided bun
Day 56: Two braids
Day 57-58: Ponytail both days. I decided to jump on the hairtyping wagon - I have intended to make a proper hairtyping pic for a long time and finally got around. To my surprise, my hair turned out wavier than I thought - I doubt it's enough for 2a, though. I wanted to see if the waves would stay or fall right out when combing. So for now I'm avoiding all kinds of braids and buns for a few days to not alter my natural waves. I may post a hairtyping thread when I know if the waves stay or not.

Day 18: Today I made my first attempt at a five strand braid (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=942&pictureid=11229) (I've done it on others, but hadn't tried it on myself yet). It turned out pretty well, though partway down I had to transfer hair from one strand to another in order to be able to keep braiding - it's difficult to create five evenly apportioned strands! :) My hair was also slippery because I had just put in a lot of coconut oil as a deep treatment before washing my hair tonight.

Thank you all for your good thoughts re the medical insurance thing. I did manage to get it all taken care of, and the insurance company was awesome to deal with. My DD's coverage was reinstated with no further issues. Whew! I had some very, very insanely tense moments on Friday and I have to say, just being able to vent a little really helped. So.... Thank You all again! Don't know what I'd do without this place and all of you!!!

So Saturday was Day 157. Cinnabun with a hair fork made of silky feeling wood. That is, until we stopped at Nordstrom and I tried on a real honest to goodness genuine Ficcare. My intention was to just see what size I need and be done with it. But my DH decided I should buy the one I liked as an early birthday gift. So I'm the proud owner of my very first Ficcare! Photos to follow if I can get my hands on something other than my cell phone. Cinnabun the rest of the day secured with the Ficcare.

Sunday, Day 158. Um, I'll bet you can guess. Cinnamon bun + Ficcare. I felt gorgeous with filthy nasty hair.

Today is Day 159. Yup, you guessed it. Ditto yesterday, minus the filty hair. It's freshly COd and damp oiled and is very, very happy. So am I. :)

Oh yeah, Happy Cinco de Mayo!

It'll probably be the same into Day 118 followed by a sleep braid and then a DT of some sort while I'm cleaning and whatnot on Tuesday. Today I go get the red dress I plan to wear (if I can't find anything better) the day DBF comes home hemmed. I'd do it myself, but I don't have a surger. I also get to do a bit more shopping in the way of dresses and skirts and possibly a blouse or two. Hehehe.

I'm going to start a 31-day challenge as of today -- this will take me to June 5th, the day before my brother's birthday, and I'll be able to remember that :p. This time, I'm going to give myself one day a week to leave my hair down in some way, either completely loose, or in a half-up or a braid that doesn't meet my challenge rules.

Day 1 of 31: After a couple of failed updos, I wound up with a very lopsided but solid infinity bun. I foresee a lot of these in the coming month!

Day 59: Ponytail for the third day in a row. I have also slept with loose hair the last nights, not to change my wave pattern. Being a restless sleeper, having it loose in bed was a real pain in those notorious lower regions... Not to mention tangles. I can't believe how I ever could sleep with loose hair before LHC... And I'm paying for it now, with an increased number of broken bends. But at least I know more about how my newly discovered waves behave now... :silly:

I only work four days a week at present (well, nights), but no clue what I'll be working when I move. And once DBF comes home I won't be counting days off of work even if I do wear it up.

It's up to you as to how you want to count it. If I were going for a month of hair up at work or someat I'd definitely only count the work days. But that's just me. I like to be fairly strict with my challenge. So basically, it's totally your decision how to count your challenge.

I've worn it down for not the whole day, maybe 4 hours on 5 days since the crash, and 2-4 times a week when i wash my hair i spend 3 hours air drying it. Which is about 1.5-2 days a month loose for drying.
I started oh, october 9 when the month challenge started. So...that makes me...like! :S
Oh boy i hate maths!
22+30+31+31+29+31+30+9 = 213
-5
-15
= 193

I'm up to day 193. or 208 (not including time drying.) technically i didn't wear my hair down for the WHOLE day of those 5 days, but that's ok :)
ok day 208- i wore it in a pony then wraps the length around the base to make a sort of cinnabun but not really thing. Now it is drying, will be in a progressive pony for bed (with elastics down the length)

Which number is write did i calculate it correctly?

oh and do i go for 365 days? Or 95% ~ 346.75 days? technically 347.7- because it is a leap year :P !?

In that case; i have in 193 case i have 172 days left (or 173 (leap year)

in 208 case; i have 157 days left (or 158 leap year)

Wow doesn't sound too daunting now? :) I can't believe i didn't crash, infact nowa days i am soooo scared to let it out because it normally sparks rude comments from people saying "trim your hair already!!!" yeh....

I did get some "wow your hair is long!" comments from my sister and she reckons it is because i didn't plait the whole way down and because i was wearing it up a lot. Recently also my mother has been teasing me less for my hair's condition.

I better quit wearing mine down, you are catching up! :run:

Aw, heck. I was hoping you wouldn't notice me in the rear-view mirror!!! :D

Today is Day 163 (I'm still about a week behind you, yeah?) and I'm just braided. I oiled my hair and it's ultra-gross right now. CO planned for this afternoon and it'll be nice for Date Night tonight. I have exactly one week until my scheduled Down Day, and 202 days left in my challenge.

Day 62: Ponytail again... But I finally got the picture I wanted. *points at siggy* In the afternoon I put it in a braid.
Day 63: Two braids
Day 64: Soft Nautilus bun. My ends are soft and tangle-free again so I think I have gotten rid of most of the broken bends and splits I got while wearing ponytails.

#169--I did a super heavy oiling last night and had my hair in a sleep braid. I had to get up early to do my 'new' job this AM...I currently have it slicked back into a cinnabun w/a scrunchie...I'm getting ready to wash in a little bit...I'm taking a break! :D

Day 6 of 31: First, it was my sleep rope braid with a chopstick keeping it up in a bun, and then after I combed it out it went in an infinity bun. I saw a movie with a sock-bunned protagonist tonight, so I may give that a shot tomorrow...I wonder if I have any socks I can sacrifice?
