I know many people who just love Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Puree Treatment Masque. It is a llittle expensive for me so I have not tried it, but one of my friends loves it.

Out of the things you have listed, I have only tried the herbal essences leave-in. It was good (really liked the scent!) but so far I only used one bottle and did not repurchase. Hope this helps with your decision! :)

Firstly thank you Flaxen helping me open a new topic. sweetlidlred, VanillaTresses thank you for replies, I am really wondering about jojoba hot oil treatment and Aphogee keratin 2 minute reconstructor,

Some of my friends also recommended me Infusium products. But they have many products (steps) so I am not positive of vuying these. I am still undecided. My biggest problem is very dry and drastic hair ends :(

Welcome Chara!

I think most of those products contain silicones. If you want to avoid them, have a look at the ingredient lists of all of those products.

Many members here don't use expensive products from salons. Many use simple products available from supermarkets, they are affordable too.

What kind of hair care routine you have, maybe there is also something to tweak to make your hair less dry?

For dry ends these are usually recommended:

- clarifying
- moisturizing
- oiling damp hair
- damp bunning
- misting
- S&D and/or micro trims

etc.

Your hair type would be also helpful to know :)

My problem began in 2004 actually. I had my hair through a straightening process, then everyrhing went wrong. My hair got thinner and lost my hair. Now I began to take hair vitamins and my hair is 22.5 inches. But I have dry ends (very dry). Anyhow I dont have breakages in the ends. But I want them to soften, I want it very badly
Please help me :wethree:

I forgot to mention,

Now I use down under natural's shampoo,
John Frieda's conditioner (frizz remedy)
John Frieda's leave in conditioner
Avon dry ends serum
John Frieda's 3 minute miracle masque (once in a week)

I've been using John Frieda's brilliant brunette natural shine line after getting my hair colored and I'm loving it. I have read that others found it a bit drying over time--I don't wash daily, so it's possible that's why it's not affecting me as much. But, I also have very oily hair.

When it comes down to dry ends, it's because it's the oldest hair you have. As a result, they get battered and worn fastest and it shows. I've found VO5 moisturizing hot oil treatments very, very helpful, plus a cool water rinse after shampooing/conditioning and am finding a huge difference. I work outdoors and wear my hair up in riding helmets/baseball hats and despite all I do, it still get bleached by the sun. I've gotten a new conditioner (leave in spray on) by Swarpvkof (I may have spelled that wrong) and it's so far been good for me in the sun. It's for UV protection, and they also make a conditioner.

Best thing to do is isolate why your ends are dry (over proccessed, chlorie, bleach, sun damage, sea water damage) and you can not only protect your ends, but stop it from furthering the damage.

Good luck! I've learned a ton from this bb!

When my ends have been destroyed in the past I have used olive oil on them to very good effect. If nothing else seems to help however, sometimes even a teensy microtrim can save the day. :D Good luck!

Hi gals, I bought Queene Helene Jojoba Oil treatment do you have any using suggestion other than directions on it

"Place bottle in a glass of hot tap water. Shampoo hair and towel dry. For long hair, massage 1oz of warmed oil into hair and scalp. For shorter hair, use just 1/2oz. Cover hair with heat cap or warm dry towel for 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, towel dry and style as desired. Bottle may be reheated as often as necessary, for repeated use. "

Have tried the Chi, and Queen Helene--they are good temporary fixes for the hair. If you go with a protein treatment, dont forget to rinse after with some apple cider vinegar. Your hair will thank you.

Do they have nano-rekeratinizing treatments where you are? These are effective in penetrating the hair shaft on a molecular level and repairing the hair, but have the side effect of straightening the hair & leaving it more flat looking.

A lot of people here (myself included) like Suave's coconut conditioner for CO washes. If your hair is very dry, you could hit the ends a second time with the conditioner. It is not heavy on the hair & at less than $2 a bottle--use it freely!

Oh yeah--do they have Mastey shampoo there? It is a really gentle cleanser. If not, Herbal Esssences has two shampoos that I like: Long hair & Hello Hydration.
