I just went to edit my signature and when I try to preview it, it says it's too long and I can only have 3 lines. What's up with that?
It works as is, but I'm trying to add a few words (to make it more clear that the MaverickDesigns part is a hyperlink) and it won't let me. Anyone have any insight?
ETA: For the record, I edited my sig since this post. Bye bye poem and football links. :(

Shortly after this new site opened up they did a 3 lines a mandatory sig so that it doesn't bog things down.

Old sigs got brought over to the new boards, whatever their length, but there is a 3-line limit on the code for new sigs. I'm not sure what the "line" length is - my sig came back as too long when I had about 1 1/2 lines of code on my sig, according to how it looked in the edit box on my screen.
You might try using something like tinyurl to shorten some of the code, but given the length of the poem you're using, I suspect it will still be too long.

Hmm. Interesting. Thanks for the info, I'll mess with it some more and see what I can do.

If you don't want a signature picture, you could always turn the poem into a picture (jpg/gif etc). Then you'd only need a couple of lines.

That would be an idea, but I tried getting rid of everything but the coding around "MaverickDesigns" and just that was too long, even though it wasn't more than 3 lines in the edit box. (I also used a tinyurl and that didn't help)
So we'll just leave it as is for now I guess.
